Terms and conditions
We are delighted to share our wine knowledge and passion with guests from all backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or just discovering your love for wine – you're warmly welcome!
Please note: all participants must be at least 18 years of age.
1) Scope of Application
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the participant (hereinafter “you”) and the organiser, Swine Wine Club, Nina Vidovic, Swinemünderstraße 5, 10435 Berlin (hereinafter "we" or "us") regarding participation in wine tastings, wine events, and similar experiences (hereinafter referred to as "Wine Events").
1.2 By registering, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2) Registration and Confirmation of Participation
2.1 Registration for all Wine Events must be completed in advance via our website. Payment is accepted via PayPal or direct bank transfer only.
2.2 After registering, we will confirm your participation by email and send you the payment details, including a PayPal payment link. Please note: the registration is only complete once full payment has been received.
2.3 Participation is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to decline any registration without stating a reason.
2.4 The registration confirmation email serves as your event ticket.
2.5 It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of your email address, to check your inbox and spam folder regularly, and to ensure the deliverability of our messages.
2.6 In case of last-minute registrations, the contract is considered concluded once we have confirmed your participation via a suitable method, or if you accept the service without reservation, or once we begin providing the service.
3) Participation Fee
A fee is charged per person for participating in a Wine Event. The specific amount is listed in the event description on our website. We reserve the right to make price adjustments.
4) Payment
4.1 Payments can currently be made via PayPal or direct bank transfer. Payment instructions and links will be provided via email following your registration.
4.2 Gift vouchers or promotional discount codes are not currently offered.
5) Scope of Services
5.1 The services include those described in the detailed event information on our website, including start time, duration, and location.
5.2 Due to organisational constraints, we are unable to accommodate individual dietary requirements or specific eating preferences. Many of our wines are not vegan. Bread served during the tasting may contain allergens. You are welcome to bring suitable alternatives.
5.3 Not utilising part or all of the services does not entitle you to a refund or discount.
6) Cancellations by Participants
6.1 Our Wine Events are scheduled leisure activities. As such, the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers does not apply.
6.2 However, we allow cancellations up to 10 days before the event.
6.3 For cancellations made less than 10 days before the event, or in case of no-show, the full participation fee is due.
6.4 Rebooking to a different date is not possible for administrative reasons. A new registration must be submitted instead.
6.5 Cancellations must be made in writing via email. Please include your order number and the number of participants to be cancelled (for group bookings).
6.6 You may transfer your ticket to another person at any time before the event begins, provided they accept these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for passing the confirmation email to the new participant.
7) Event Cancellation or Programme Changes
7.1 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Wine Event for important reasons (e.g. low participant numbers, illness of the host, or force majeure).
7.2 In such cases, participants will be informed by email as early as possible. We also post updates on our website. We encourage you to check for the latest information ahead of the event.
7.3 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the participation fee will be refunded in full.
7.4 No further claims for damages can be made by participants.
8) Liability
8.1 We are liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. For breaches of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable damages. Liability for injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected. The same applies to liability under the German Product Liability Act.
8.2 We are not liable for consequential damages arising from participation or cancellation of an event, unless due to gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9) Exclusion from Participation
We reserve the right to exclude participants from the event if they disrupt the event or its proceedings. In such cases, the full participation fee remains payable.
10) Data Protection
We explain how we process personal data in our Privacy Policy, especially in relation to event registration and the use of our website.
11) Final Provisions
11.1 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law shall only apply to consumers insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which they habitually reside.
11.2 The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR), available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
11.3 We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
11.4 Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
